The Mandate of PSiRA derives from the Private Security Industry Regulation Act 56 of 2001. The primary objective of the Authority is to regulate the private security industry and to exercise effective control over the practice of the occupation of security service provider in the public and national interest and in the interest of the private security industry itself.
PSiRA has become aware of fraudulent individuals impersonating PSiRA employees and unlawfully soliciting money from businesses and members of the public. Please do not make any payment to any individual claiming to represent PSiRA. If you suspect fraudulent activity, please report it immediately to PSiRA and the South African Police Service. Stay vigilant. Protect yourself against fraud. Please treat this matter as urgent.
